Obituary of Pat Bell

(nee Warren)

In the early morning hours of Monday, September 4, 2023, Pat passed away peacefully at the New Orchard Lodge in Ottawa. She was 85.

Cherished mother of James Bell of Almonte. Pat was the last surviving child of George and Charlotte (nee Washer) Warren.

She was predeceased by her 4 sisters: Lee, Kate, Lizzy and Margaret as well as her brother, George.

Pat was a cartographer for Fisheries and Oceans for 30 years.

She was an Honorary Mum and Grandmama for several families across Canada.

She was an independent spirit. She walked Hadrian’s Wall and toured Egypt on her own. She possessed an inquiring mind. She took courses in painting, calculus, classical guitar and fiddle.

Pat was an active church member. She also enjoyed woodworking, drawing, painting, reading, knitting, quilting, and being with friends. And of course she enjoyed and proudly wore the title of The Cat Lady.

Pat’s private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
