Obituary of Francis "Frank" Valin

With great sadness the family announces the death of Francis "Frank" Valin who passed away on November 10, 2023 at the age of 79 years. 

He’s survived by his wife of the last 31 years Micheline Groulx; his daughter Kim Knight (Andy Knight); his grandchildren: Cody Knight and Sofie Knight; his sister Debbie Valin; his brother-in-law Luc Groulx (Jocelyne Moncion); his nephews and nieces: Bryan Valin (Adele), Dominique Moncion-Groulx, Sophie Moncion-Groulx (François Laferrière), Nicolas Moncion-Groulx, Emmanuelle Groulx (Antoine De la Chevrotière) and Mylène Groulx (Jean-François Morin); his great-nieces: Béatrice and Ophélie De la Chevrotière; his great-nephew Jérémy Morin; his dear friends Bill and Sue Geary and Nicole Neault as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Bernard Valin and Bernice Ritza; his brother Doug Valin; his parents-in-law: Léo-Paul Groulx and Georgette Lacasse as well as his brother-in-law Pierre Groulx.

A celebration of his life will take place on December 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of LES JARDINS DU SOUVENIR FUNERAL HOME located at 75 Boul. Fournier, Gatineau. The family will be present from 1:30 p.m. to receive condolences.

The family thanks the CLSC staff for the support at home and all the excellent care provided, especially Dr. Tommy Law and Dre. Sophie Hyland.
