Paula's song sums up the celebration of her life so well. We are grateful to to have access to the memorial service, seeing the bigger picture of God's plan leading Paula through her life. Her story, along with Jim's, is a true inspiration only God could put together with their faithfuless! Lovely tribute given by Dean, Monte, and Jasmine. We are blessed to have met and known Paula, Jim and the Dean-Karen Hardy family. Hugs and much love!

Warm welcoming smile. Joy sparkling in her eyes. Always made me feel she was so happy to see me. This is a gift, one of many, Paula Hardy gave to everyone. I suspect she made everyone feel this way. Paula was a part of my world growing up in the Evangelical church of the Deaf and Ontario Camp of the Deaf Community. Many years could pass between opportunities to see Paula. Could be 15 years even and still the love and joy was there. I have had the privilege and true pleasure of seeing her at the Deaf Camp as she volunteers to help make Camp ready for the summer camp programs. Amazing. Her dedication and servant heart was truly inspiring and will continue to be so for me as memories of her come to mind. Her praise and worship in ASL bring me closer to God and we are so grateful that Dean has so many precious memories of her captured forever on Video. Warm joy and loved filled smile every time I interacted with Paula. Every time. How is that possible… I think…well actually all who knew her knows she would say it is because of Her Father God. The love of God shone through her and I am so thankful I got to experience that love through her. She will be missed. As we celebrate the fact that we know where she is and Who she is with… she still will be missed. My deepest condolences to all of her family and to Dean and his family for sharing her and The Jim and Paula Hardy story with us all.

She was a great woman of faith. Kind, compassionate with a smile that left you feeling so loved! Felt so important when with her.....most genuine!
Loved my Dave and saw his desire to learn sign language. So much so he joined time amongst the deaf ministry as she looked on as Dave was then forced to communicate....not just reading lips. They had quite a bond with this dear wife, mom, grandma!
We will forever cherish our times shared in Richmond Hill church, legacy left deep on our hearts and in our lives!
Love you Paula, look forward to our reunion above! ❤️ Cathy/Dave Chapman

I worked with Paula at George Brown College in the Deaf Ed dept. I was somewhat new to ASL and I consider her one of my true ASL teachers, and ultimately I was lead to interpreting. When my Mum visited my work, Paula told her she was my "Toronto Mum". Many good memories of Paula. Reading of her life, she certainly was a gift to the Deaf community here and abroad. Sleep well, sweet Paula, you have given so much to so many. Cindy in Ottawa

Paula was a wonderful woman, a leader, role model and an inspiration to the Deaf Community. I met Paula in 1990 when she hired me to teach English Upgrading classes to Deaf Adults at George Brown College in Toronto. Paula always had a smile on her face, was always very supportive, encouraging and ready to provide support and advice whenever I needed it. She made my job easy, pleasurable and rewarding. I looked up to her as a Deaf woman. I feel blessed that we got to see her again in September 2023 when she came to the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Programs and Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at George Brown. Her passing so soon afterwards was unexpected. She will be missed, Rest in Peace Paula. Deepest Condolences to her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting her at an event a few years ago and I was thrilled to discover that she was one of the co-founders of CCCD, the institution where I received my education. She struck me as a wonderful person, and I felt lucky to have crossed paths with her.
