Many, many years ago my family lived on Glen avenue and the Golota family were our next door neighbors. And better neighbors could not be found anywhere. I remember this lovely lady like it was yesterday but this beautiful tribute to her makes me wish I had known her in later years. My dear Helga A mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace. Helga and my mother were close friends and enjoyed being able to speak German. Both were from east Germany and shared stories of “home”. Besides mother tongue and the memories of Berlin, they shared their strong faith in God. For many years Helga and my mother had a German daily page religious calendar. When my mother’s eye sight failed, Helga daily read the Bible verse and story to her over the phone. Helga was in many other ways a great support for my mother. And of course we all remember her wonderful Butterkrem Torten made for birthdays and special occasions. Helga was a warm and giving person and we will remember her with gratitude. Marion and Norman
