Obituary of Vince Herrick

(Retired – AECL)

Just before sunrise on Saturday morning, March 16, 2024, while surrounded by family, Vince left us peacefully from the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital.

John Vincent Herrick of Arnprior was almost 87 years of age.

Beloved son of the late Jim and Catherine “Katie” Herrick. Dearly loved Dad of Chris Herrick, Jamie Herrick and Lisa Burton (Alex). Cherished and proud Grandpa of Will, Lucas and Alana.

Dear brother of Mike Herrick (Lucy), Estelle Grenier (late Ron), Phyllis Flegal (Doug) and Kathy Ste. Marie (Gerry).

Predeceased by brothers: Des (Doreen, late Doris), Dom (late Ruth), Pat (Suzanne Herrick-Lee) and Leonard (Donna) as well as sisters: Lois Ryan (late Bill) and Tish Stanton (late Al).

Lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends.

Also survived by his former wife, Carol Ann Taylor.

Vince took great pride in his family and his heritage. His sense of humour and the many stories he loved to tell were his trademarks. He always took the time to chat and catch up with family and friends. He will not be forgotten.

Heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Arnprior Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Vince and the family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

where friends joined on Thursday, March 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday morning, March 22 from 9:30 to 10:20.
