Obituary of Barb Smith

(Retired RN – Renfrew Victoria Hospital)

With great sadness, the family announces that Barb passed away very suddenly but peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital in the early hours on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was 8 days shy of her 83^rd birthday. Beloved wife of David Turley and of the late Clifford Smith. Dearly loved mother of Dianne Smith (Glenn Harder), Bev Smith, Neil Smith (Nancy Pageau) and Heather Smith (Lou Pisano). Loved stepmother of Laurie Michel (Gene), Lana Lyndhorst (Mike) and Lynn Stenvers. Cherished and forever remembered Grandma of John Harder (Sara Richter), Alex Marta (Nick Dagenais), Morgan Marta, Krista Lawrence, Jordon Lyndhorst and Dustin Lyndhorst.

Dear sister of Dianne Dedo (late Domenic), Morgan Jones (Marguerite) and Tom Jones (Lynda).

Barb’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Service will be held in her beloved Emmanuel Anglican Church, 287 Harrington St., Arnprior on Monday morning, April 22 at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow in the Carlton Reid Memorial Hall. Interment Flat Rapids Cemetery, McNab/Braeside.
