Dear Sharyn and family,
So sorry for your loss Sharyn and for the loss of a Dad and Granpa. I was truly saddened to hear of Donnie’s passing.
I worked with him at Nortel and as others have mentioned enjoyed his stories and always enjoyed having a laugh with him. Donnie was a good and decent man. He was always kind to me even though I was a rookie at my job. He treated the team
He led with respect, kindness and humour too. I’ll always remember him saying “oh my shattered nerves” and then laughing every time. I guess most of all I’ll remember his good nature and kindness. The world will miss Donnie.

Hi Sharon, I was a co-worker of Donnie, I met you many years ago at one of our Nortel department Christmas dinners. Don was full of stories that kept us entertained at work for years, he left a lasting impression for sure. I'm so sorry for your loss and send my deepest condolences and sympathy to you and your family.
May Donnie rest in eternal peace

Dearest Sharyn and family, I had the pleasure of working with Donnie during our Nortel days. One specific time I recall was a Bell Canada course we went on down in Toronto for a week. We rented a black ford which at the time could easily be taken for a unmarked car the Ontario Provincial Police used. I did the driving and we made it there it record time - other vehicles would pull to the right as we came up on them. Donnie would said "You know Boomer you're going to get caught and Bill Watson (our manager at the time) won't be bailing you out of jail". We had a great time that week! Needless to say we never got pulled over. Donnie had lots of great stories although I think half of them had the truth expanded upon. Rest assured Sharyn Donnie was loved by many not only family but by those who worked with him. RIP ole' chum! Brian 'Boomer' Beattie

Donnie was one of a kind!! We remember our days at 3 Mile Bay where he introduced us to the world of camping. He guided us in so many ways and we had so much fun. Whether it was fishing or laughing around the campfire each night, it was always a blast. We moved away after that but always kept in touch with him and Sharyn. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Sharyn and the entire family. Lean on those around you! Love Vivian and Wayne ❤️❤️
