Obituary of Mel Wilson

Mel Wilson of Kinburn, recently of Arnprior, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Thursday evening, May 16, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

Born and raised in Kinburn, he was predeceased by his parents Hazel and Freda Wilson as well as his son Kevin.

He is survived by his sons Shawn and Rob (Cindy), and his sisters Sheila Neely (late Lyman), Valerie Miller (Wally), Lynne Cavanagh (Jackie) and Dawn Wilson.

Mel is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Karen Wilson (nee Seabrook).

Shawn and Rob would like to extend their appreciation for the tremendous support Mel received from the doctors, nurses and support staff at Island View Retirement Home,

Bayshore Healthcare, Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital and the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Mel’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family service will be held.

Interment St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Woodlawn.
