Obituary of Ed McCabe

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Ed passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday morning, July 1, 2024; Edward William Joseph McCabe of Arnprior was 73.

Beloved husband of Lynn (nee Roy). Dear brother of Rick (Janet Sabourin), Terry, Linda Chandler (James Hogan) and Sheila Mawdsley (Bob).

Loved brother-in-law of Albert Shamess (Tina) and the late Simone Brazeau. Special uncle of Carol Weisflock as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Son of the late Raymond and Dorothy McCabe.

Ed was a quiet and unassuming man. He took great pride in his work as groundskeeper at the Gallilee Retreat Centre in Arnprior for many years.

A lifelong resident of Arnprior, Ed was proud of his family as well as his roots in the community. He will be missed.

Final care and arrangements were entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

where visitation took place on Saturday morning, July 13^th from 9:30 to 11:30.

followed by a Liturgy of the Word in Our Lady’s Chapel of St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior at 12 noon.
