Obituary of Steven Oattes

With heavy hearts the family announces that Steven passed away peacefully in his home in Perth on Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2024.

Beloved husband of Susan (nee Milani) for 34 years.

Loved and treasured dad of Trevor (Sarah) and Matt.

Adored brother of Kelly Brennan (Joe).

Dear brother-in-law of Bev (Richard), David, John (Bella) and Steven (Shannon).

Cherished uncle of Krista (Jordan), Chad (Justine), Christina, Nick, Rebecca (predeceased) and Matthew.

Great uncle of Maverick, Emery and Lucas.

Predeceased by his parents Wayne and Grace (nee Ready).

Very special son-in-law of James and Genevieve Milani (predeceased).

Steve loved his family dearly and loved his sports teams — the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Hoosiers and the Toronto Blue Jays — almost as much. We know that he will be cheering for them all from above.

Special thanks to Dr. Simpson of Perth, Dr. Jonker of the Ottawa Hospital and homecare nurse Randolph for their dedication and care.

Steven’s care and arrangements were entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior. A private family service was held in the Pilon Family Chapel. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery.
