Heather was a dear friend to me. She always brought a strong sense of light and comfort whenever I was around her. Her kind soul radiates love, joy and abundance. I'm so proud of Heather for the person she was on this earth. She brought 2 beautiful amazing women into the world and she had a lot of fun. She loved to help people, a true healer. Heather always had an interest in my family and always truly cared about my kids. My her kind heart be a beacon to people everywhere. She endured a lot of pain. Heather I will miss your kind smile and gentle voice. I pray you are celebrating in a different dimension! Love to Jean and family. Thank you for allowing me to try and ease her physical pain for even a few minutes. Please listen to this song in remembrance of Heather. My deepest condolences to Jean and family, I was a PSW of Heathers on and off for a few years and we became pretty close. She had the best sense of humour and we would constantly be cracking jokes, not all appropriate lol. She was someone who will forever leave a mark in my heart. Strong, kind and funny, she will be greatly missed but I am glad she is at peace

My sincere condolences to the Cassidy and Cotnam families. I did not know Heather personally, but I did know Shaun through work at AECL - Chalk River Laboratories. My father's first cousin was diagnosed with M.S. back in the early 1980s, and its impact is quite devastating. Sincerely, Blair Bromley, Deep River, Ontario.

Dear Jean, Rebecca, and Haley,
My deepest condolences to you all. Heather was such a special person. We were university roommates and life-long friends after that. She always talked about her family and was SO proud of her daughters. Rebecca & Haley - the two of you were everything to her. Heather was smart, funny, kind, and loyal. I will miss her terribly, but I know she is finally free of the hold that MS had on her, and reunited with her Dad. I am so sorry for your loss.
Much love,
Sherry & Bob Foster

To Jean my sincere condolences on the death of your daughter Heather. Multiple Sclerosis is such a devastating disease, striking young people like Heather in the prime of their lives. My family has been touched by M.S. and we pray that continued research will find an answer so that people like Heather will not have to suffer through this trauma. Joyce Dawson.

Heather was my dear friend in that key time of life that you move from Barbie’s to makeup. I remember giggling in her basement, playing imaginary games of “Emergency!”, having sleepovers, and playing with her dog Skippy. We were put in different classes and started making different friends, but Heather always included me in all the “cool kid” party invites. We reconnected in high school through Helene and although we did not keep in close touch, she was always kind and generous with me. My thoughts are with her family now.

I had the pleasure of meeting Heather just once at one of Kim O's parties. She was such a delight and, apparently, she got quite a kick out of the maple squares I had brought. ;-) I bow to Heather's courage for living with MS for more than 20 years and for choosing to depart on her own terms. I also want to honour all who supported her during her years of declining health, it couldn't have been easy. Sending you all much light.

A Family friend for so many years, yes, even from her youth and will always be remembered, her mischievous smile, her determination, her daring, "Who wants to get up at 3.00 a.m. for a swim at the cottage when the black flies and mosquitoes are at their best", and her dedication to her friends through thick and thin. Be happy and content Heather and have a glass or two with your Dad Richard, and celebrate and cherish every moment my Dear.
