Obituary of Lynda Labelle
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lynda Margaret Labelle (née Kearney) on Saturday, October 5th at the age of 72.
Beloved wife of 41 years to Camille “Cam” E. Labelle.
Loving mother of Heather Labelle (Kyle D’Amico), Jessica Labelle (Kory Corbelli) and Camille Labelle (Jennifer).
Cherished Honey of Harrison and proud Gramma of Beatrice, Rosalie, Gabriella, Chloe, and a since arrived, new granddaughter, Sydney Maeve Labelle, sister to Beatrice & Rosalie. A life lost, a life gained. We are blessed.
Dear sister of Edward (Joan), Wayne (Claire), Patricia (Larry Parkinson) and Tim (Jacki). Special “little sister” to her cousin, Arleen Blondin.
Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Victor Moore and Theresa Casey, as well as her brother Edward.
She will be greatly missed by family, extended family and all whose lives she touched, including all her many nephews, nieces, cousins & her many friends at the Granite Ridge Care Community.
Lynda’s Irish heritage gave her strength, determination and a big heart. She had a unique ability to show compassion and kindness towards anyone she met, and she loved every child (and dog), as if they were her own. She loved reading, crafting, drawing, painting, cooking, puzzles and spending summers boating in one of her favorite places, The Thousand Islands. Her passion to create, and her love for animals, has been passed down to her children and grandchildren.
Lynda passed away at Granite Ridge Care Community surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Lynda's Life at Granite Ridge Community Care at 5501 Abbott St East, Stittsville, ON
from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday, November 09, 2024. We will be providing lunch while we gather with friends and family.
From Granite Ridge, as requested by Lynda, we will continue to Remember & Celebrate Lynda's Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 638, 70 Hines Road, Kanata from 2:30 to when the last story is told.
A light meal will be provided along with some light hearted activities for the young and not-so-young.
We sincerely hope that you will attend and help us honour Lynda's request that we join together, not to cry, but to celebrate, reminisce, love and laugh a little.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and honouring Lynda’s love of dogs, please consider a donation to the Arnprior & District Humane Society.
Donations may be left at the funeral home or you may also send an e-transfer to adhs.treasurer@gmail.com. Receipts will be issued.
