Obituary of Fay Kerr
Ardella “Della” Fay (nee Desarmia) Kerr
“Nanners”
Nov. 11,1936-Nov. 2, 2024.
It is with overwhelming grief and sadness that we announce the very sudden and unexpected passing of our “Nanny”, Ardella “Della” Fay Kerr, peacefully in the ICU of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital after a courageous battle from complications of Gastric Sepsis. Fay was 87 years old.
“Nanny, all of us have such an enormous feeling of loneliness and heartache now that you are gone, but take comfort knowing after such a difficult fight, you didn’t suffer and went to sleep peacefully”.
Fay was a very selfless, kind and loving person to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She had many friends who will miss her and family who will all cherish every memory that they have of her.
Fay was the much-loved wife for over 64 years of the late Clayton “Clayt” Kerr and cherished mom of Cathy Bebee (Paul). “Nanny” leaves behind her 2 beloved granddaughters who adored her so very much, Shelby and McKenna, as well as her son-in-law Paul, whom she so dearly loved. Little Lily “poochie woochie”, our sweet yorkie will also miss Nanny terribly.
Fay was predeceased by her parents, Louis and May (nee Campbell) Desarmia. She was also predeceased by her siblings and their spouses: Hugh (Verda), and Mel (Sylvia). Fay is survived by and will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law: June, Doreen and Gay and many nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you is extended to the ER and the ICU of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital (Dr. P. Graves, Dr. R. Abaskharoun and all nursing staff) for all of their compassionate support. The kindness shown and thorough medical care will be forever immeasurable.
Funeral arrangements and private graveside service are being entrusted to the Pilon Funeral Home, Arnprior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation.
