Obituary of Mary Koch

(Longtime Secretary – McLean & Moore Law Office, Arnprior)

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Mary passed away peacefully at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital in Ottawa on Friday, November 8, 2024; Mary Ellen Koch of Arnprior was 78 years of age.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rolf on May 12, 2024.

Much loved and devoted “Mom” of Laura Lee and “Nanny” of Samantha and Michael.

Dear sister of Jeff Turner (Susan).

Daughter of the late Charles and Leona Turner.

Mary was a loyal and dedicated secretary working in the Law Offices of McLean & Moore in Arnprior for many years.

When not at work, her family became her priority.

A pleasant and generous lady, Mary will be remembered for her selfless volunteerism within the Arnprior Agricultural Society, the Arnprior Legion and the Arnprior Civitan Club.

Her voracious passion for reading usually involved “crime related” themes. Watching television also occupied a lot of her spare time.

Pleasant, kind and always smiling in the face of her health challenges, Mary never complained. She took life in stride and made the very best of every day knowing that life was a gift.

She will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

on Friday afternoon, November 15^th from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

We will then leave and go to the Malloch Road Cemetery where Mary will be buried with her beloved Ralph.
