Obituary of Diana Currie

(Retired – Playtex, Arnprior)

 

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Diana passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with loved ones by her side on Friday evening, November 15, 2024;

Diana Mary Currie of Arnprior was 86.

Beloved wife and best friend for over 65 years of Michael “Mike”.

Dearly loved mother of Susan, Diane Jr., Michele and Carrie.

Cherished Grandma of Candace Raycroft (Richard Gagain) and Michael Barlow.

Dear sister of Robert McKie (Ruth Ann) and Catherine Bahm (Dalton).

Predeceased by brothers: Terry, Rhody (Ralph) and Dwight as well as sisters: Georgina Wall (late Jack), Donna Lytle (late Donnie and Christine McKie.

Lovingly remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Daughter of the late Stanley and Rita (nee Fairfield) McKie.

 

Diana was born into a large family in Braeside. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Family was always first. Her love of music and dancing was evident at family gatherings when she and others would play music, sing and dance together. Another of her greatest joys in life was fishing and the great outdoors. She took great pride in catching the most fish. Spending time in nature at the camp with loved ones and friends brought great pleasure and happiness to Diana.

She leaves a legacy of love and kindness to those who knew her. She will be missed.

 

 

Diana’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

where a family service will take place in the Spring of 2025.

Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
