Obituary of Edgar Schweigert

(retired-Sandvik Steel, Arnprior)

With sadness the family announces that Edgar passed away four days shy of his 77^th birthday at the Bonnechere Manor on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2024.

Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee O’Brien, 2024) and the late Denise (nee Brière, 1984).

Edgar leaves behind his loving daughter, Michelle Schweigert, as well as his stepsons: Michael Dunn (Aliyah) and David Dunn (Michelle Guse).

Proud and fondly remembered grandpa of Sydney Burns (Matthew Murdock).

Loved brother of Calvin Schweigert (Linda).

Predeceased by his sister Marlene Schweigert.

Son of the late Elmer and Beatrice (nee Drefke) Schweigert.

He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends.

Edgar was a long-time employee of Sandvik Steel. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed nothing more than spending time hunting and fishing. He could often be found where his life began in Foymount and the beautiful waters of Lake Clear.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and staff at Bonnechere Manor for their warm and exceptional care.

Edgar’s private care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home.
