Obituary of Joan Gahan

Long time Arnprior resident, Joan Gahan, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 at 90 years of age.

Joan was the beloved wife of Bill (William) Gahan for almost 70 years. They spent most of their married lives together between Braeside and Arnprior where they raised their four children.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Kathy Gahan, Tracy Wylie (Jim) and Michael Gahan, her grandchildren, Sara (Andrew) and Oliver, and her great grandchildren, Andra, Isabel and Corbyn.

Joan has been warmly reunited with her son, Rev. John Gahan (2010), her mother Margaret, father Joseph and her ten siblings, Francis, Donald, Gordon, Norman, Earl, Stephen, Margaret, Lucy, Janet, and Leona.

Joan loved to paint and moments after her passing the sky was painted with a beautiful rainbow - her sign to us that she is with God and her family, and that she is now at peace.

Joan’s private arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior.
