Obituary of Jean Levi

(nee Russett)

December 29, 1935 – December 22, 2024

With heavy hearts, the Levi family announces that Jean passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital

early Sunday morning, December 22, 2024 a week shy of her 89th birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Wayne Levi (August 24, 1986).

Dearly loved and cherished Mom of Carolyn and Elizabeth Levi and the late Wayne Russett (Sept. 24, 1997).

Dear sister of Iris Brown (late J.R.), Bryon Russett (Dorothy), Edith McElroy (late Winston) and James Russett (Rosalie).

Predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert Russett (late Annie) and Norman Russett.

Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (nee Neuman) Russett and stepdaughter of the late Roma Anderson.

Jean was born and raised on the family farm in McNab Township.

She attended a one room school house and married Wayne in 1966. Together they raised their daughters on the 9th line of Pakenham.

Following Wayne’s passing, Jean and the girls later left the farm and moved to their new home on Highway 29 until Jean moved into The Grove Nursing Home in 2023.

Jean loved to bake.

The splendors she created in her kitchen have literally been enjoyed by thousands of people over the years.

From Church Bake Sales to dropping off baking to bereaved family and friends, Jean was always generous in sharing her time and talents with all.

Her signature homemade baked buns were an all-time favorite for many.

Jean will be missed for her kindness, knowledge and wisdom.

A special lady has gone to rest.

Jean’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior

where visitation will be held on Friday evening, December 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, December 28th from 9:45 to 10:45.
