Obituary of Allison Munro
(née Kearns)
With heavy hearts, the Munro family announces that Allison passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Allison was 58 years old.
Dear daughter of Carol (née Bova) Kearns and the late Michael J. Kearns (December 20, 2024). Beloved and devoted wife of Robert, and loving mother of Cole. Dear sister of Michael C. Kearns (Deanna Pidwerbeski). Special aunt to Ben, Olivia, and Ella Kearns.
Allison spent much of her life in the service of others. She enjoyed working with her friends at Winners and Homesense, and was known among colleagues for her kindness, consideration, and sense of humour. Allison also enjoyed children and spent several years operating a daycare from her home.
Having a strong sense of family, Allison was always deeply supportive of Robert’s businesses, while providing a loving and nurturing upbringing for Cole. She was a caring and supportive daughter to her father and mother, Mike and Carol.
Allison had a passion for making things and crafts, especially knitting. She was quick to knit baby blankets, hats, mittens, and clothes when newborns arrived among friends and family.
Taken from us far too soon.
The family would like to thank all friends and family for their love and support at this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring, after interment.
In her memory, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Allison's arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the Pilon Family, 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
