Obituary of Barb Wilson

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Helen Wilson announces her passing on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2025, at Queensway-Carleton Hospital with her family by her side. Barbara Helen Wilson of Woodlawn was 77 years of age.

Barbara was the cherished and devoted wife of Robert “Bob” Wilson for over 57 years.

She was a loving and dedicated mother to Bonnie Soucy (Trent), Dan Wilson (Jen), Michael Wilson (Sarah), Jennifer Bencze (Mark), and Tammy Seed (Adam Leury). Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Zachary, Jasmine, David, Kyle, Cailyn, Savannah, Paige, Aiden, and Ryleigh, as well as her great granddaughter, Lucy. 

Barbara was the last surviving child of Vincent and Irene (née Belknap) Maisonneuve, both predeceased.

She was also predeceased by her 4 beloved sisters: Diane Jones, Marion Healey (Garry), Cheryl Broadbent (late Gord), and Valerie Arsenault (Richard).

She will be greatly missed by her many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of dear friends.

Final arrangements for Barbara have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service to celebrate Barbara’s life

on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Woodlawn, followed by interment in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Reception Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital in memory of Barbara.
