Ritchie and girls, Our deepest-heartfelt condolence on the passing of Margie.
A beautiful soul gone far to soon.
I knew Marg forever having gone to high school together and worked alongside her at The Guide (we always shared stories from those early years). Ron knew her from when we lived in Pakenham, a shorter time, but he too enjoyed chatting with her as her caring nature and love of life came through no matter the day or time. Her smile will be in our memories forever.
The community of Pakenham and beyond has lost a true ambassador.
Rest in Peace Margie. xxx

Our growing family was only a few weeks old and new too this rural neighbourhood.
Margie appeared at our door step with her face lite up with so much joy. She warmly welcomed us to the neighbourhood with gifts, a hot casserole and an invitation to meet her family who was just up the road. She had just given birth herself and had a two year old at home. She continued to be a friend to our family until she passed. Such a joy and an inspiration. I pray that her girls, her husband Ritchie, family and friends move thru this period with ease and comfort.

Ritchie and family. My heart broke a little more when I heard of Margie’s passing. Pakenham is the beautiful community it is today because of Margie’s selfless commitment to the many events, committees and projects that have taken place over the years. She was a huge support to me when I started my career in Pakenham. The word “no” was not in her vocabulary. I always admired Margie’s kind, caring and patient approach and her smile that immediately put you at ease. Her attention to detail was second to none and there was never a question she didn’t have an answer for, especially when it came to Pakenham’s history.
I had a nice visit with Margie this past July. We picked up where we left off like it was yesterday and in typical Margie fashion, she just wanted to know that I was doing ok. Out of all the time I spent with Margie over the years, I will cherish that time the most.
Margie’s legacy of community builder, dedicated volunteer and friend to all is one to be very proud of and one that will never be forgotten. May all the great memories bring you comfort and support and lift you up when you most need it.
Rest easy Margie. We are truly blessed for having the opportunity to be part of your journey.

I had the privilege of working with Margie at Pakenham branch around 1997-1999. What I remember most are two things: First, her values and second, her community impact. Every day with Margie included laughter, smiles and compassion. After work she was always rushing off to help out somewhere or assist someone. She made every day a joy for both her fellow colleagues and clients. I distinctly remember that she was so trusted and loved that clients refused to engage with our call center when it was first introduced. Instead they called the garage across the street to delivered telephone messages from clients to her three times a day. This went on for months as part of their silent protest of not being able to call her directly. My heart goes out to her family. Please accept my deepest condolences. She will be deeply missed.
