Our deepest condolences go to you Jean and your Yagminas/Needham Clan. Al will be sorrily missed by all who knew him for sure: no doubt by yourselves as family that he would speak so fondly of on many occasions, but also by friends as community members and colleagues at Health Canada like myself. Al's life certainly was full of adventure in pursuit of diverse interests and development of skills and applications of talents within fields of health science, music and agriculture. He covered a lot of territory considering that his pathway was cut short. However, even these last years were filled with his don't quit, positive efforts to self-educate and understand the challenges before him. What a great person: on one hand Al was soft-spoken, often keenly serious, a critical analyst, and almost always, a man of action, but on the other hand, Al could be lighthearted, jovial, witty, caring and almost boyish in his teasing/taunting of friends. And so, "cheers to you Al": you battled until the end; we learned from you once more and we are so proud to have shared part of your journey of life.
