We have just learned of Marjorie’s passing. We had only met once, but were so impressed by her emotional depth and graciousness. Smiling and understanding of others. It was such an honour to have met Marjorie and Werner in their home so many years ago. Our condolences to your loving family. Sheila & Murray.
I had the honour of being a regular visitor to the Daechsel house, growing with Ann as my friend. Marj Daechsel always took the time to really listen when I spoke, to be interested in my thoughts and my family's news. She was a gentle woman with the most infectious laugh. A big hug to her family and friends!

Marjorie Daechsel, always Mrs. Daechsel to me, was the epitome of goodness, gracious and kind. I had the good fortune to meet her, as a young woman, and to enjoy her company, as well as the company of her entire family. Imagine having an older woman, as a friend, who is the attending nurse, at the delivery of your children. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for having known her. She shall be of blessed memory.
