We have just learned of Marjorie’s passing. We had only met once, but were so impressed by her emotional depth and graciousness. Smiling and understanding of others. I had the honour of being a regular visitor to the Daechsel house, growing with Ann as my friend. Marj Daechsel always took the time to really listen when I spoke, to be interested in my thoughts and my family's news. She was a gentle woman with the most infectious laugh. A big hug to her family and friends!

Marjorie Daechsel, always Mrs. Daechsel to me, was the epitome of goodness, gracious and kind. I had the good fortune to meet her, as a young woman, and to enjoy her company, as well as the company of her entire family. Imagine having an older woman, as a friend, who is the attending nurse, at the delivery of your children. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for having known her. She shall be of blessed memory.
