Obituary of Bruce Baskin
(Retired – Arnprior Aerospace)
On Saturday morning, August 3, 2019; Bruce Barclay Baskin of Pakenham passed away peacefully at home following a long and hard battle with his health. He was 65. Beloved husband and best friend for almost 44 years of Myrtle (nee Proulx). Loved and devoted father of Tara Baskin of Pakenham and Megan Buckley (Steve) of Stewartville. Predeceased by his only son, Ryan (May 15, 2005). Cherished and proud “Papa” of Mackenzie, James and Rowyn. Dear brother of Wayne of Galetta and Leonard (Dale) of Arnprior. Dear son of Freda (nee Wilson) Baskin and the late Russell Baskin. Predeceased by his brother, Roy Baskin and his only sister, Judy Ayotte. Son-in-law of Dom and Doreen Proulx and brother-in-law of Brent Proulx (Susan) and Bonnie Coe. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Among his many passions in life, Bruce truly enjoyed the many years that he served on the executive of both the Central Canada Hockey League and Hockey Eastern Ontario. He will be missed. Bruce’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where a private visitation was held followed by a private graveside service at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
