Obituary of Roy Schlievert

SCHLIEVERT, Roy

With great sadness we announce that Roy passed away suddenly but very peacefully, with his wife by his side at Brockville on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was 79. Beloved husband and best friend of Andriend (nee Turgeon). Dearly loved Dad of Christine Leavoy (Robert) of Castleford; Colleen Schlievert (Richard Giroux) and Glen Schlievert, both of Arnprior and Frances Brown (Shawn) of Carp. Much loved and devoted Poppy of 7 grandchildren: Amanda Wilson (Joey), Phillip Makort, Ryan Schlievert, Jessica Togbi-Wonyo (Mawuse), Rebecca Schlievert, Darren Brown and the late Elliott Brown and 3 great-grandchildren: Henrik Togbi-Wonyo, Ava Togbi-Wonyo and Connor Wilson. Dear brother of Margaret Schlievert of Ottawa. Son of the late Frank and Pearl (nee Gutzman) Schlievert, Roy was also predeceased by his sister, Helen Watters (late Pete). He will be fondly remembered by many for his genuine kindness and his willingness to help anyone at any time. A good man has earned his rest. Roy’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation was held on Friday, November 1^st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A private family service was conducted on Saturday, November 2, 2019 followed by interment at the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior.
