Obituary of Conway "Bill" Tearle

1921 – 2019

With sadness we announce that Bill passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with loved ones by his side on Sunday afternoon, December 8^, 2019. Bill was 98 years young. Beloved husband of the late Joan Fowler. Dear friend of Marion Ray. Dearly loved father of Howard Tearle (Colleen Shearer) of Delta, B.C. Predeceased by his only daughter, Janet Tearle (late Maurice “Moe” Lapierre). Cherished and devoted grandfather of Jennifer Phillips (Robert) of Arnprior and Greg Tearle (Neda) of Vancouver. And great-grandfather of Ainsley and Emily. Dear brother of Rachel Walmsley (late Bob) of Weeting, England. Bill was predeceased by 4 brothers: Eric, Colin, Sidney and Ron as well as 2 sisters, Connie and Susan. Bill was a quiet and very caring man. His concern for those around him was always evident and appreciated. His presence at functions in our community will be missed. Bill’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation was held on Thursday afternoon, December 12^th from 4 to 6 p.m. and again on Friday morning, December 13^th from 9:30 to 10:20. A Funeral Service was conducted in Emmanuel Anglican Church, 287 Harrington Street, Arnprior on Friday morning  at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Bill, please consider a donation to The Grove Nursing Home Redevelopment Fund. A Legion Tribute took place at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
