Aunt Shirley was such a generous, kind, and happy soul. She never forgot a birthday. I, and I’m sure many others, remember receiving care packages and cards from her in the mail as we grew up. She took such care in picking out the perfect card/gift and wrapping it exquisitely. She never showed up at a function without some contribution, be it one of her famous jello salads, her cherry cheesecake, or any other of her special treats. I will particularly cherish her positive outlook on life, especially in her last year. I can still hear your laugh. We will miss you dearly Aunt Shirley.
Shirley will be remembered for her great smile! She made every Christmas look merrier on the 12th, 13rd and 14th floor of the Coats building at Tunney’s Pasture. Sincere condoléances to family & friends.

Shirley was a wonderful aunt. She was always supportive in everything we did and was very kind and generous. She always had a smile for you when she saw you and was always sad to see you leave. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
Saddened by Shirley's passing. She always wore a broad smile whether good days or not. I think the lights in the Coates Building shone a little less brightly after she walked out the front doors into retirement that day in 2012. Shirley will be remembered forever.

To Phyllis and the Jones family. I was so very sorry to hear about Shirley. She was such a lovely person. I know how much she will be missed. Thinking of you all.
I am sorry to hear of Shirley Jones passing. I worked at Statistics Canada and knew well as Debbie Hudson also worked with me. My deepest sympathy to all family members and take it ''One day at a time'' and day by day tears will turn to smiles of good times past with Shirley.
To the Jones family: We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Shirley. We also worked at StatsCan for many years. I was in SDD for at least 13, and Shirley was our secretary. She was always very friendly, and knowledgeable on what was going on in the Division. My wife also had some family members from White Lake. Joe & May Holmes.
I have fond memories of Shirley at Statscan (RGS). She was my Secretary for a number of years, until I left there in 1996. Everyone loved Shirley. A truly good person, by any measure. I wept when I read this.
