Obituary of Shirley Jones

With sadness the family announces that Shirley passed away at the age of 77 in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus. Loved daughter of the late Milo and Hilda (nee Comba) Jones, as well as Alvira Jones of White Lake. Much loved and cherished sister of Anna Sharpe (late Dick), John Jones (Maria), Lenard Jones (Heather), Marion Aposaga (Frank), Phyllis Jones and Emerson Jones (Jenny). Shirley was predeceased by two brothers: Mervin Austin and Willard Jones. She will also be missed by her special nieces and nephews: Valerie and Leah Fitzgibbon; Tanya, Brad and Bailey DeHaan; Christine, Will and Charlie Beneteau and Jason Jones. Shirley worked as a civil servant for Statistics Canada for 50 years. She was a true professional in everything she did. She enjoyed fashion and was always well dressed wherever she arrived. Shirley spent countless hours decorating her workplace for holidays and all kinds of various celebrations. Her kindness touched many colleagues and family throughout the years, and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Her care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family graveside service will be held at the White Lake Cemetery. In memory of Shirley, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
