Obituary of Beverly Schroeder

With sadness the family announces that Beverly Schroeder of Eganville passed away in her 71st year at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus on Sunday evening, November 28, 2021. Cherished wife of Allan for over 51 years. Much loved mom of Christine Schroeder, Donna Resmer (Rick), and David Schroeder (Shelley). Loving Nanny of Nicholas, Madison, Riley, Myia, Sam and Grayson. Dear sister of Geneva Schruder (late Murvin), Eileen Peplinski (Sylvester), Caroline Peplinski (Nelson) and Deborah Boucher (Rene). Bev was predeceased by two brothers: Walter and Edwin and a sister: Lillian Buelow (late Clifford). Daughter of the late Henry and Mary (nee Brash) Radtke. Bev valued and appreciated her time with family and friends. She was very social and enjoyed hosting large family gatherings which included delicious pies for dessert. She was a devoted wife, loving mother to her 3 children, and mentor to her 6 grandkids. The grandkids would spend summers at the farm learning everything from math to baking. Her favorite day of the week was Thursdays, where she and Allan would spend time at the Legion. Bev would often go on stage and sing for the jam sessions. She would put others before herself and was always happy to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her love, knowledge, and generosity will be missed by many. A church service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 2nd at Grace Lutheran Church, 14 Bonnechere Street West in Eganville. Following the church service everyone is welcome to gather upstairs at the Eganville Legion, 57 Veteran's Way for a light lunch and refreshments. For those wishing to make a donation, please consider the Eganville Legion Branch 353, Grace Lutheran Church, or simply carry out an act of kindness in Bev’s memory.
