Obituary of John McGuey

(Retired E. B. Eddy, Hull) With heavy hearts the family announces that John passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday morning, February 2, 2022; John William Foy McGuey of White Lake was in his 86th year. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Sandra (nee Seabrook). Much loved and proud Dad of Robin (Linda) of Embrun; Leslie Partington (John) of Perth; Chuck of White Lake and Tim (Diane) of Woodlawn. Dear brother of Shirley McGuey of Edmonton. Cherished grandfather of James McGuey (Caitlin), Brigitte Twinder (Luke), Andrew Partington, Rachel and Greg McGuey. Son of the late Frank and Beatrice (nee Foy) McGuey, John was also predeceased by 3 brothers: James, Stanley and Irvine as well as 5 sisters: Grace, Evelyn, Margaret, Ivy and Georgina. John spent many years as Marshall at the Mountain Creek Golf Course in Arnprior where he made many great friends and created many lasting relationships. His sense of humour, genuine concern for others and his love of life itself made him a wonderful person to be around. He will be missed. John’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A family graveside service will be held in Richmond, Ontario later in the Spring. In memory of John, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
