To Frank's family my sincere condolence on your father's passing, he was quite a guy, his humor and wit will be missed by his brother knight's, my last conversation with Frank was last summer during his stay at Island View, still had his usual humor. His friendship was far reaching, i recall meeting a fellow while travelling on a ferry to Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, he knew i was from the Ottawa area, asked me if i knew Frank Finley, small world. RIP Frank your creator awaits your coming.

Ann Marie, Tina, and Families,
I was sorry not be able to make it to your Dad's funeral. It's impossible to sum up your Dad's wonderful contribution to the Cotter clan in a few lines, but I am compelled to try. He was our Master of Ceremonies. Always. For everything. Barbeques, weddings, anniversaries, boot camp and even funerals. He always kept us laughing. My parents always loved to spend time together with Joan and Frank. Heading to your home over the Christmas holidays was always a high point of the season and, of course, he was so good with Brian back in the day.
I send my love and condolences on your loss.

On many occasions during my years at AECL I had the great priviledge of working with this kind and thoughtful man. Surely Frank was "crowned with glory and honour" (Hebrews2) while with us, sharing his beautiful personality with all who met him. Please accept my condolences and find comfort in the promise of God's call. (John 5)

We were always on the lookout for Frank before or after church so we could chat with him. He could always make us laugh. When he came over for dinner, the laughter amplified. He was generous and incredibly kind-spirited, always offering advice or to help with various projects we were undertaking (sometimes showing more enthusiasm for science than we did ourselves). We’ll miss our walks down the road to chat with Frank on a beautiful summer night.
Thinking of you during this time,

To Christina and all of Frank’s family;
Our family only had the pleasure of knowing Frank for about a dozen years, but in that time he truly left his mark on our hearts and souls.
My wife and children adored our after mass chats and the meals we shared with him. He always made them smile as he regaled them with some yarn.
I felt an immediate affinity for him due to his affable humour.
He made my laugh many times and I’d like to think that I also occasionally made him smile.
He reminded me in many ways of my own Irish father due to the mischievous twinkle in his eye. It seems only fitting that they will be buried within yards of each other on The Mountain.
Frank and I spoke several times about him coming to see the “project house” I am working on. It’s a shame that he will never see it. I would've enjoyed showing it to him. In the spring I will plant a tree there and name it Frank in his memory.
He may be gone but he will not easily be forgotten.
All our sympathy

Tina and Family,
I was saddened to hear of your dad's passing this morning. I always enjoyed spending time with your dad at the Mount St.Patrick Church supper, and ofcourse at the Cotter Family get togethers. Your dad always had a story to tell and loved his family dearly. My Mom thought your Dad was a great guy. We really appreciated the kindness your family showed her after my Dad died.

My prayers and sympathy are with you.
I treasure my memories of your Dad
When we first met he did not want a “companion” from Seniors for Seniors.
After a few hours of conversation and tea he decided to have me come to visit.
He had so many stories to share. Frank was quite the raconteur.
Daily we would pray together for our families and friends.
We would go for daily walks and he always looked forward to seeing and
speaking with his wonderful neighbours.
He taught me how to perfectly peel a boiled egg (drop boiled egg about 6” to count top)
Which is what his mother taught him.
He had an infectious laugh and a twinkle in his eye.
Frank was always a gentleman and I was privileged to spend time with him
He only spoke well of people.
He greatly loved his daughters Anne Marie and Christina, granddaughter Annan and grandson Joel.
He cherished his time with Linda and would tell me of their great bacon and egg breakfasts on the weekends.
He was very proud of you and treasured you greatly.
My prayers are with you.

Frank was the friendliest neighbour we ever had; aways made time to speak with us, tell a story, or ask us in for a drink (Scotch of course). We almost bought his house, fate had Frank there instead and we built down the road. You will be missed by many. We are very sorry for your loss. Christine & Ed O'Hara

yr. I only met him once. But I have fond memories and thoughtfulness in those calls.
