Obituary of Ron McNevin

Peacefully, with his wife Mary by his side, Ron passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus in the early hours of Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022. He was 73. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Kennedy) for over 46 years. Treasured Dad of Samantha McNevin-Anderson (Paul) and Murray McNevin (Emily McMenemy), both of Ottawa. Much loved Grampa of Quinn and Evan. Dear brother of Shawn McNevin (Bill Sevigny) of Chelsea, QC. Ron was predeceased by his brother Kevin McNevin. Ron was a smart and creative man. He had the ability to tinker and create the most beautiful and detailed things out of nothing. His love for wood was portrayed throughout the log cottage he designed and the self made art spindles displayed throughout. He passed this on to his son, who followed in his footsteps in career and creativity. He loved his career in the elevator industry. He would have considered his coworkers a second family. His sense of humor, and sheepish smile will never be forgotten. He will be missed. In his memory, please consider a donation to your favourite pet rescue.
