Obituary of Mildred "Billie" Hammond

 

With heavy yet grateful hearts, the family announces that Billie passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones as well as her longtime canine buddy, Mooch on Friday evening, April 22, 2022. She was in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Jim Hammond. Dearly loved mother of George (Nancy), Cathy (Dan Havis), Steve (Shaun) and Laura Coady (Phil). Predeceased by 2 sons, Jimmy (Connie) and Ron (Christine). Cherished and proud “Granny/Nanny” of Jacquelyn, late Cynthia, Lacey, Chelcie, Stephanie, Stacey, Shane, Chris, Lisa, Brooke, Tyler and Jordyn and “G.G” of Cooper, Evans, Ainsley, Evelyn, Austin, Gabrielle, Scarlet, Ava and Ryan. Billie was the last surviving child of the late Thomas and Rose (nee Gilmette) Robillard of Arnprior. She was also predeceased by her 6 brothers: Clifford (Shirley), Tom (late Betty), Jack (Marilyn), Maurice (late Lois), George (late Eileen) and Fred (late Bertha) as well as 6 sisters: Blanche Fridgen (late Ray), Jean Webb (late Conrad Carey), Evelyn Pichette (late Eddie), Edna Anderson (late Ron), Rosemay Julian (late Versal) and Jacqueline Robillard. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Billie’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Saturday morning, May 7th from 9 to 10:45. A service will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. The service will be webcast for those wishing to join us on their electronic devices. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Billie, a donation to the Arnprior and District Humane Society would be appreciated.
