Obituary of Andrew "Andy" Church

With sadness the family announces that Andy passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Wednesday morning, January 11, 2023. He was 71. Beloved husband and best friend of Theresa (nee Couvieau). Treasured Dad of Dana Church (Stephen Kingston) of Waterloo and Westin Church of Ottawa. Much loved Poppiee of Lelynd and Lexi Kingston. Dear brother of Terry (Kelly) of Almonte, Ruth Higginson (Jim) of Hawkesbury and Chris (Angie) of Kincardine. Special brother-in-law of John Couvieau (Carilyn), Carly Marcellus (late Ken), Jeff Couvieau (Maxine), Leah Couvieau (Roger Blado) and Rodger Cleary (late Nancy). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Andy lived life with a passion for helping people. His family was everything to him. Following a 35 year career with Scotiabank, Andy went on to become a realtor with Royal Lepage for a few years until accepting a position in the credit department at Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores. He retired this past June. His love of Harleys got him involved with the Ride for Dad Ottawa. This has been a big part of his life for almost 20 years. He has left his mark and will not be forgotten. A kind and generous soul has left us far too soon.
Andy’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation took place on Sunday afternoon, January 15 from 2-4
and again on Monday morning from 10-10:45. A tribute took place in the Pilon Family Chapel on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Reception followed.
The service was webcast live for family and friends who are unable to join us in person.
