Thinking of all you this day as we celebrate near and far the great Soul that Jim was and is and evermore shall be be.
His loving light has touched many with goodness and blessings and I am grateful to have known him as a cousin and carrier
of the Turpin blood that we share. Thank you for facilitating via Zoom, this beautiful celebration of Jims life, allowing those of us who live far away to participate in this wonderful acknowledgement of a life well lived. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as we commend Jims soul into the greater presence of Gods loving arms with great gratitude and love.
Rest eternal grant to him O Lord and may light perpetual shine upon him, May his soul and the souls of all the departed through
your great Love rest in peace now and forever.

Dear Don, David, Dennis and Families,
We are thinking of you all during this sad and challenging time. We remember with love our dear cousin Jim. We are sorry we cannot be with you in person, but will be there in spirit holding you up and watching from a distance.
As some people journey through life, they leave footprints wherever they go - footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, humour and inspiration, joy and faith. Even when they are gone, we can still look back and clearly see the trail they left behind -a trail bright with hope that invites us to follow.
Praying you’ll be comforted with precious memories and God’s presence to care for you in your loss.
With our deepest sympathy and love,
Rebecca, William, Liam, Sarah XO

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was an amazing person. We have so many memories during the eighties when Angie played ball with the various levels of the Rath Farm Equipment girls fastball team. Jim was always there with Angie as a supporting and encouraging Dad and a really great coach. He was always so polite! He treated everyone with the utmost of respect and so much kindness. We were so blessed to have such a nice group of parent's and assistant coaches to work with, and we could always count on Jim to be a voice of reason!
Angie, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing! I am thankful for the many years that you and your dad were part of the team. We have so many fond memories. You were so adorable and a really awesome fielder and batter. Your dad was so proud of you, Angie. He absolutely loved seeing you make all those amazing outfield catches! He was always cheering you on. He was so proud watching you steel bases, bunt and hit like a pro! You sure were loved by your Dad! . Big hugs and much love Angie. Thank you for the memories. Rest In Peace Jim!

Dear Angelique, Jamie, Don, David, Dennis, Carmen and families.
Our hearts are heavy with the news of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful man who we all loved very deeply.
Our gatherings, as cousins around the campfire at the cottage, are among the most treasured memories I have. His plans for sleigh rides in the winter gave us another reason to gather as family, and that was obviously very important to him.
One of my most vivid memories is a morning at the cottage when I was 14 years old. I was about to pour a cup of coffee and Jim stopped me and said, "If you take my coffee, I will throw you in the river." Of course me being me, I challenged him. Next thing I knew, I was in his arms, down the stairs, across the beach and at the end of the dock. He swung his arms out to throw me and if I hadn't held on so tightly around his neck, me and my blue housecoat would have been in the water. He was smiling the entire time!
Jim had such a wonderful sense of adventure and despite whatever life threw his way, he could always find a way to laugh right back at it! If there is anything that I learned from Jim, there are two things that stand out. One - Keep family close to your reach and close to your heart, and two, despite what crosses your path in life, always look for something to make you smile!
If I can quote Aunt Mary,
Much love and prayers to you all.

I was all of eleven years old when I found a twenty dollar bill on the curb outside where Jimmy lived in a apartment in Port Hope. I was rich. Imagine my surprise when later that day at my Mom's house Jim visited and when I told him what I had found he said, " Oh yea, that is mine, I lost it." lol I guess my Mom saw the look on my face and said, " Now Jim, do not tease the poor girl" It sure did love a good Joke. Rest in peace Cousin. My heart goes out to all the family Patty
