Obituary of Jim Turpin

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Jim passed away rather suddenly and unexpectedly at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus on Friday, March 3, 2023; James Arthur Turpin of Castleford, formerly of Arnprior was in his 74^th year. Beloved husband of the late Jill (nee Guillemette) Turpin. Much loved and proud Dad of James Turpin of Vancouver; Angelique Turpin (Chris Schimmens) of Pembroke and StepDad of Wade Hyland (Sheena St. Michael) of Arnprior. Cherished Papa of Jesse Turpin, Emily Schimmens and Kaila Yakabuski (Matt). Dear brother of Don (Reta) of Kingston, David of St. Lazarre and Dennis (Kathy) of Arnprior. Loved uncle of Kristina Noreau (Louis), Nick Turpin (Melinda), Christopher Turpin, Corey Turpin, Kelly Turpin and Chelsea Turpin (Adam McNulty). Predeceased by his former wife, Brenda. Also survived and fondly remembered by many great friends.

Jim was a quiet natured man. He enjoyed the simpler things in life. Always making time for family and friends, nothing was quite as enjoyable as spending time in nature or at the family cottage. He will be missed.

His final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation took place on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A Service to honour and remember Jim followed in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In Jim’s memory, please consider a donation to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital or Calabogie Animal Rescue.
