Obituary of Joyce Klein

Peacefully, on Sunday, March 5, 2023 with family by her side; Joycelyn (Joyce) Margaret Klein, beloved wife of the late Peter Klein. Loving mother of David (& Mary) of Toronto, Beth (& Guy) Robitaille of Arnprior, Pat (& Andy) Lalonde of Kanata, Karen (& the late Stephen) Shurvin of Dundas, and the late Carol (& Les) Schryburt. Cherished grandmother of Kate, Mike (Melissa), James (Melanie), Jon, Patrick, Sarina (Brock), Noah, and Brianna, and great grandmother of Leah. She was also the dear sister of the late Murray Anderson and Carol Fraser.

Joyce was born and raised in Toronto and married Peter, her husband of 68 years, in 1951. They eventually settled in Bancroft where they raised their 5 children.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and spent many years volunteering in her community.

In her younger years, Joyce loved to spend time outdoors swimming, canoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, and also curling at the Bancroft Curling Club. She loved to read and knit, enjoyed a variety of music, and was a member of the Bancroft Community Choir. She had an adventurous spirit and an unexpected sense of humour.

Joyce was involved in the church and the local chapter of Women’s Aglow. Her faith was important to her and she found her passion through Christ. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Her final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the 

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd.,

50 John Street North, Arnprior

where visitation was held on Thursday afternoon, March 9th from 12:30 until the time of Funeral Service in the Pilon Family Chapel at 1 o'clock.

Interment will be held in the spring at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bancroft.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to a food bank of your choice.
