Obituary of Ted Graham

Korean War Veteran

With heavy hearts, coupled with cherished memories, the family announces that Ted passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning, May 18, 2023.

Edward Thomas "Ted" Graham of Arnprior was 91.

Beloved husband of the late Joyce Eileen Graham.

Dearly loved father of Derek (Debbie), Michael (Dave Spiterie) and Cheryl.

Cherished and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Thomas Graham (Amanda Ingram), Darren Graham (Christelle Grondin) and Matthew Graham and his great-grandchildren Max and Hayden Graham.

Ted grew up in Carleton Place, and though an only child, was surrounded by a large extended family, with many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Ted served as a young man in Japan and Korea with the medical corps, and later joined a military band for a second tour of duty.

After leaving the Service, Ted taught music for much of his professional career, finally retiring from ADHS.

Ted was a renaissance man, with interests beyond music, extending into languages, geography, and history.

He was a closet poet, writing verse right up until his last days. Ted had a passion for gardening, which was a lifelong pursuit.

His final care has been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.

Close family visitation only.
