With heavy hearts, the Murray family announces that Hal passed away at The Courtyards on Eagleson Road with his daughters by his side early Monday morning, June 19, 2023; Harold Michael “Hal” Murray of Arnprior had just tuned 82.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty (nee Carroll) on January 14, 2010.

Much loved and devoted Dad to his 3 daughters: Casey Quinton (Ray) and Quinn Demers (René), both of Kanata and Leslie Murray-O’Brien (Michael) of Pakenham. Cherished and forever remembered by his grandchildren: Cole Quinton (Lindsay Hitchcock), Liam Quinton and Shane Quinton, Josh Demers, Grace and Emily O’Brien. Dear brother of Ronnie Murray (Marie) of Killaloe, Andy Murray (Irene) of Killaloe, Elizabeth Keetch (Brian) of Dominica and Marilyn Yakabuski (late Paul) of Stittsville. Predeceased by his parents: James and Susan (nee Grace) Murray as well as 2 brothers: Al (Doris of Round Lake) and Joe (Joanne of Round Lake). Hal was very close to his cousins John and Brenda Stack of Sarnia. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews and lots of wonderful friends.

Hal loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. Family was everything. His faith was also very important to both himself and Betty as they raised their family and for years thereafter. Sports held a very important place in Hal’s heart. Until the past few years, Hal always looked forward to his weekly hockey games with seniors of like mind. He was a team player in everything he did. He lived by his one simple motto: “Choose Kindness”! He will be missed.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Courtyards for the amazing care provided during Hal’s stay there.
