As my sister Helen has mentioned, when I was a teenager, I looked up to my cousin Margie as a very glamorous fashion icon. I recall marvelling at her ability to wear her high heals to shop at the mall! She was a comfort to me as a teenager after the passing of my Dad as she had also lost her father at a young age. Margie was a true inspiration in the way she lived her life and despite her illness, I will always remember her positive attitude, her perseverance and her faith in God. Thinking about Brian, Graham, Gordon, Christine and families today as you grieve the loss of this special woman who made a difference in the lives of so many.
Much love,
Eleanor and Wally

When I was young, my cousin, Margie was the most glamorous person I knew. She was a natural at pulling people together, and I fondly remember a family Christmas gathering at her apartment in Ottawa. She always exuded joy, which I now recognize as the fruit of her remaining in the true vine (John 15:1-17).
I really got to know Margie and Brian when I moved to Waterloo for university from 1990-95. Mom knew I might need some help and reacquainted me with Margie and Brian before leaving me at the dorm so far from home. Margie told me her spare room was mine whenever I needed a safe harbour. I lasted about two weeks before I was overcome by homesickness and called Margie asking if I could visit. Brian picked me up right away, and I left feeling recharged by their love and kindness.
Throughout my time at Waterloo, Margie and Brian included me in many family events. I treasure the times I had with them, Graham and all the others who Margie united at their table. They also had me over for lunch many times after we ran into each other at church. I fondly recall great company topped off by a spectacular pie.
Margie radiated peace and joy that could only come from knowing she was loved by Jesus Christ and saved by his grace. What comfort it is to know she will be in his presence for eternity. My thoughts and prayers are with Brian, Graham and everyone else who mourns the loss of this special lady.

We send our sincere condolences to Brian, Graham, Cindy, Bethany, Hannah and all of your extended family. We met you at WPA. Alhough we did not have the opportunity to know you well, Brian, it was immediately evident that the beauty of Margie’s heart was even matchless with her outward beauty.
I met Graham, Cindy, Bethany and Hannah as the french teacher at Temple Baptist Academy ( Madame Emery). I loved those girls, and I am sorry for them in the loss of their lovely grandma.
May God surround each of you with His loving arms, and comfort you in your loss.

Bob and I are so very sorry for your loss. Although we never meant Margie we felt like we knew her. We are good friends with Chris and Al Clarke. As you go through this difficult time know the Lord is right by your side and that Margie rests in the arms of her Heavenly Father where she suffers no more.
Sincerely Bob and Kathryn Wyborn
