It is with deep sorrow, the family announces that on the afternoon of Monday, June 26, 2023, Margaret Anne Tourangeau, of Arnprior peacefully entered into rest and went on to meet her Lord and Saviour following a lengthy yet very courageous and inspiring journey through decades of Multiple Sclerosis. She was 73 years of age. Beloved wife, best friend and business partner of Brian for over 54 years. Loving and devoted mother of Graham (Cindy) of Kitchener and cherished Grandma of Bethany Tourangeau and Hannah Reid (Clint). Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Ernest and Hilda (nee McRobbie) Lawrence, Margie was also predeceased by her three younger brothers: Raymond, Ralph (Lynn of Gatineau) and Clifford.
Margaret graduated Grade 13 with honours, and went on to Ottawa Teachers College where she graduated with high marks in spite of missing more than one third of the yeardue to illness. She also worked temporarily in the aeronautical engineering department at the Carp Airport, where she took flying lessons in her spare time. Margaret put aside her working career to be supportive of her husband’s business, and to deal with Multiple Sclerosis.
