Obituary of Anne Jacques

(nee Shorrocks)

 

With sadness the family announces that Anne passed away peacefully at the age of 86 at the Ruddy - Shenkman Hospice on Thursday July 13, 2023. Beloved wife and best friend of Rod. Cherished Mum of Deborah Steel (Craig), Nichola Charbonneau (Bernard), Lisa Jacques (François Gauthier) and Mark Jacques (Caroline). Treasured Grandma of Danielle, Matthew, Riley, James, Rebekah, Diana, Mackenzie and Cameron, and Great Grandma of Nicholas, Thomas and Markus. Predeceased by her only brother, Alan Shorrocks. Daughter of the late Albert and Jenny (nee Armstrong) Shorrocks.

 

Anne met Rod 70 years ago at The Lido Dance Hall in Sale, England. She asked him to dance, and they were inseparable ever since. Anne was exceptionally thoughtful, kind, and caring towards others and was loved by all who knew her. An avid sports fan, Anne loved playing golf with Rod and friends, and never missed an opportunity to watch her children and grandchildren in action. She was an amazing cook, always up for a game of cards, and loved working at The Cheshire Cat Pub for over 14 years.

 

The family would like to thank the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for their compassionate care and support during her final days.
