My sincere condolences to Bev's family. Bev was a kind and thoughtful person. He touched many people's lives in a good way.
Willing to help anyone who needed it. He always thought of me on my birthday and made a point to phone with birthday wishes. He was as good a friend as any person could wish for. It is so hard to believe how the years have flew by. I will miss you my good friend. God Bless you.

I knew Bev only from driving with him for a few years. But there was never a nicer, more friendly person. Given the choice I would work with Bev at any time...his stories always made you smile. If there is a heaven, he is at the Perley Gates, and they will have no problem letting him in. You will be sadly missed, my old friend.

Bev would often start a conversation by saying your name and then…do you remember when? What a memory he had. I first met Bev in my late teens when showing horses. My friend and I didn’t have a truck or trailer so we used to hire Bev (who lived on wood kilton at the time) to take us to many local shows and fairs. Always a gentlemen, who had lots of advice on the ‘other riders and horses’ ,cheers for our wins and encouraging words for our defeats. Fast track many years and our paths crossed again on stonecrest road when riding a horse. As many who live on stonecrest know, Bev was the neighbourhood watch. He knew everyone’s vehicle, the time they came home from work, how fast they drove and all the ‘ins and outs’ of the neighbours, with a chuckle on the side.
My sincere condolences to your family. You will be missed but not forgotten.

I remember Bev as a gentle soul, a kind-hearted friend who became an integral part of our lives on the O'Rourke farm. He enjoyed the ebb and flow of farm life and was always ready to lend a hand with equipment or helping to tend to the animals or even to catch up on all of the ‘local news’. Anyone who knew Bev would agree that he was quite the story teller and I can still picture him, his eyes sparkling, as he retold tales from his wild cowboy adventures as a younger man.
Throughout the years, Bev joined us for many family celebrations. He watched my young boys grow up, offering wisdom along the way. Thoughtful and kind, he somehow never missed a birthday!
Rest in peace, dear Bev. Your kindness will forever be etched in our hearts, and we are grateful for the time we had with you.

You were a kind, gentle man Bev. I will always remember our roadside chats when riding our horses by the house on Stonecrest Rd with friends. You loved to talk about the horses and even remembered their names. And, now every time I have a Memento mint, I'll have another and I will think of you, Bon voyage my friend. With affection,
Sharon Mills-MacLaurin (just one of your many neighbours who will remember you fondly()!

Bev
Thank You
When we were able to lift a bale of hay it was then we got to spent every summer day working with Bev
It was an adventure every minute as the haying season lasted till school started.
The only motivation Bev needed was to be told “it can’t be done “or “could you give me a hand with something“
Hard work, great worker, gentle with all types of animals, storyteller, respected, and hundreds of friends are the first thoughts of you.
Manotick to Fitzroy and all the bus trips a lot of people got to meet a person who always gave back without asking for anything in return
We had many great days together
You will be missed

Bev was a lover of country music, along with other genres. No matter where I was performing, he always made a point of coming over to say hi, and sometimes to request a song. He was in the audience when I performed 2 weeks ago. He didn’t come over to say hi that time, but he just closed his eyes and nodded in time to every song. I’ll certainly miss him in the audience. Rest in peace Brother.

When we were kids, we were lucky to be able to hop on our bikes and head down to Grandma Downey's for some cookies and to hang out with Bev. He always had time for us no matter how busy he was with chores. Bev loved horses, dogs and cats and he knew how to handle any situation with an animal. I enjoyed visiting Bev and he was a genuine, kind person. He will be missed.
