Gaston was the kindest man ever who spent endless hours helping build a train layout for my young son Oje along with his dad - my husband Owen Hart. When we lost Owen unexpectedly Gaston continued to support Oje by inviting him as a special guest to many train shows, continued to help Oje build his HO train layout and he and his lovely wife would invite us to their house as a family for dinners so Oje could learn more about model trains. Gaston and his wife would talk to us about their own son who was in the military and how proud they were of his service to his country. Thanks to Gaston, Oje still loves working on his train layout that will no doubt be a life long hobby. Thank you Gaston (and family) for your kindness and selflessness. Gaston is the perfect example of a life well lived. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.

Gaston and I had some great conversations over the years. My wife and I being invited over for dinners, hanging out during the battlefield tour, watching hockey, etc, gave us plenty of opportunities to chat about life, family, Calgary, trains, and woodworking. We still have the bed and hutch. We will miss watching him play the Beatles on his guitar while sitting in the basement. My condolences to Barb, Jamie, Monique, and the rest of the family.

Gaston will be very much missed by Dale and I. When I first went the Gaston's open mic, I was a nervous wreck, I could barely play my instrument, let alone sing anything ... But the people and the best host ever We're so encouraging and welcoming, and kind. A few years later and it is like a big family of friends there. Our fearless leader has gone to a better place, but he will never be forgotten, and is dearly missed by many.

Dear Barb, Jamie, Monique and extended family members My deepest condolences to a wonderful, caring and loving friend who has guided myself and many other friends/musicians in the music field.
