Our sister-in-law Maureen, nephews Ryan, Sean & family - we are heartbroken and in shock with Larry’s passing.
Carl has many memories of Larry and wants to share a couple with you:
Carl remembers the times he and Larry went hunting at the Winters hunt ‘Camp Missum’ , which Larry appropriately named and ‘Camp Missum’ eventually ended up on bright orange caps to be given to all the members of the camp.
Another memory is when Carl had an old Volkswagen Beetle car, which he turned into a Dune Buggy. Both Larry & Carl headed to the camp in their new- found prize, however ended up stuck in a mud hole. Larry got out to push and pulled muscles in his side. Needless to say they had to walk to the camp and return the next morning with a team of horses to pull their prize buggy out of the mud.
Another memory is when we went camping with Larry & Maureen at Golden Lake Campsite. Larry & Maureen went fishing and when Larry went to pull the fish hook out of fish he caught the fish hook barb went through his finger. Needless to say Larry ended up at Barry’s Bay Hospital to have it removed. (That fish was later fried up and ‘So Delicious’!
There is a saying ‘That the Stars in the sky are holes in the floor of Heaven for loved ones to look through at us’ . We’ll be looking for Larry’s - the one with the Toronto Maple Leaf flag.
Carl is very heartbroken at the loss of his ‘Baby brother and only brother left, but will cherish all the memories of Larry!
Much love - Carl, Jean & Kevin Winters

Maureen and the entire Winters family I am sadden to hear of Larry's passing.
I always looked forward when business brought Larry out to Calgary.
Larry's quick whit and sense of humor was always a challenge to try and keep up with.
Our shared passion or should I say frustration for the Blue Jays and especially the Leaf's lead us to multiple texts during the games that lead to soar fingers and a desire for a stiff drink.
My most heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
Your Western colleague and friend.

Our condolences Maureen, Ryan, Sean and family. It was such a pleasure to have worked with Larry for some 28 years at CBN, we both started in the same year and worked on many products and projects together. After we retired, we got together with Larry and Maureen in Florida with several other Banknote retirees, played cards, had lunch and just reminiscing about all the fun times we had working at CBN. These are very special memories for me. Maureen, I hope theses memories will help you get through some of the tough times. We will not be able to attend the service next week as we are in Florida but will watch online and will be thinking of you all. Love and prayers.❤️❤️
