My family and I want to express our deepest Condolences. There are so many memories of my time with Lyndia and Lyle and their boys. My husband, Garry Card was Lyndia's brother so I had the honor of getting to know Lyle and of course their boys.
I want to thank Chris for returning my call and asking me to join them at the graveside service. I got to meet some of Lyle's siblings that I hadn't met before.
It was a lovely tribute to Lyle and hear about his train ride through life. The tribute to Lyle's Military career caused the memories to roll down my cheeks as my husband was also a Military soldier for 23 years. Thank you to the family for including me on Lyle's graveside service. Cherish your memories Michael, Chris, Scott and Curtis of your Dad and I know that his siblings will also have memories to cherish. God Spead Lyle and thank you for being on your train ride through life. Earlene Card & family

Micheal, Chris, Scott, Curtis: My Memory of your Dad starts in Almonte many years ago when there was only Micheal. In the 70's when (my Aunt) Linda and Lyle moved to Winnipeg, my Friend and I moved with them. Honestly I am not even sure Curtis had been born yet. What I do remember is how your Dad opened his home without question and......how much of a tease he was, he loved to bug us about anything he could.....Life goes on; time passes, but everyone we meet has an impact on our lives. It was because he allowed Us to share his home (with my Aunt of course), that allowed me my first adventure. I am saddened by your loss. George and I send condolences to you and all of Lyle's family.

Fran:
My sympathy on the loss of your brother, Lyle. I remember my Mom visiting your grandmother (her Aunt Gertie) both on Abigail and Russell Streets and her cousin Kay (Catherine) would be there at the same time. You, your family and Lyle’s family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of Lyle's passing. It's sad when you get the news that an old friend has passed...
My friendship with Lyle began as Signal Apprentices, Vimy Barracks, Kingston, Ontario 1958
and continued as members of 2 Signal Squadron, Petawawa 1959 through to the early 60's...
Many years have passed since we last met...
My memories of Lyle are indeed fond memories...
Lyle and Donna were the first Visitors when Lois and I moved to Pembroke as newly weds..
Lois and I extend our Deepest Sympathy to all family members.
Lyle RIP my friend

I am very saddened to hear of Lyle's passing. Lyle and I served together 1962-3 in 2 Signal Squadron, Petawawa. He had a pet raccoon and the Sergeant Major permitted him to bring it on parade. So Lyle would have the raccoon sitting on his shoulder standing to attention LOL. He was a great guy and a good soldier. He will be missed by all. I had not seen him for a few years but I always thought of him. Donna and I extend our Deepest Sympathy to all the family.
