Obituary of Marion Teskey

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Marion passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon, July 5, 2024.

Marion Elizabeth (Spence) Teskey is the beloved wife and best friend of Alan. They were introduced by their common friend Ralph and were married for 61 years.

Their life’s journey took them all across Canada from Ottawa to Vancouver, with stops in between; and then back to Manotick where they lived for 40 years, raised their family, and nurtured close friendships.

They were blessed with three children and six grandchildren along the way who she loved dearly and took great pride in.

Marion is the dearly loved Mother of Cheryl (Arnie), Kent (Nancy), Mark (Tara), and the cherished and ever proud Grandma of Nicole, Zachary, Arden, Alana, Colton, and Avery.

After focusing her time on raising Cheryl, Kent, and Mark, Marion began working at the War Amputations of Canada where she took great pride in helping Canadian War Veterans and their families.

She had several loves in life that brought her joy from being raised on the family farm in Southern Ontario, to times spent camping and the company of family pets.

She loved flowers and plants, especially those with family significance.

A recent move brought Marion and Alan to Arnprior allowing them to explore the Ottawa Valley and to be closer to family and the opportunity to cheer their grandkids on.

Marion remains in our hearts as the dear sister of John C. Spence (late Marion), sister-in-law of Ralph Clayton and Aunt to her extended family of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters: Donna Grace Underwood (late Jack) and Shirley B Clayton (Ralph).

Marion’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.

In her memory, please consider a donation to Ottawa Inner City Ministries or the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters.

He restores my soul.

He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
