I was blessed to work with Daphne at the Arnprior Hospital as a brand new nurse. She was so patient and kind, but also so much fun to work with. A few years after I left the hospital, my dad was a patient there, and spoke so highly of her caring for him. Although I have not seen her for many years, I remember how she inspired me and taught me many things about nursing. My sincere condolences to her family.

My deepest condolences to my cousins Ian, Greg and Les. Aunt Daphne embodied the very essence of gentle strength, kindness and love. Spending time around the dinner table, sharing and feasting on her delicious pies and baked goods are cherished memories. She always had a cake to send home with me. Ian, Alexi and Christina, I am so saddened to hear the news about your mom/Grammie. I feel very fortunate to have been able to meet her, and share her wonderful sense of humour and fun. Her kindness made the world a much brighter place. My best memory is when I told her how wonderful her grandchildren were. Her answer was "Of course! They are MY grandchildren!". Dear Ian, Greg, Les and family, Your mother was so special to our family. She had a loving spot in her heart for my grandkids. They all called her Granny Skinner, Alexi and Christina had a little competition… I will always treasure our 52 years of friendship. A few week’s ago Bonnie, Bev and I took her out for wings at The Prior Sports Bar. I’ll bet you didn’t know that she was a Bar Hopper. I know I have an Angel up above watching over me.
