Fred was truly one of a kind. I always admired his kindness, personable nature, and how well he worked with others. He had a remarkable ability to mentor and guide, making everyone around him feel valued. Whenever I saw Fred on site, I knew we were in good hands. His unwavering dedication and effort while working for the town of Carleton Place were deeply appreciated. Fred’s presence made every interaction memorable, and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Linda and family,
Our sincere condolences for your tragic loss.
We are thinking of you, in this difficult time.
Life surprises us with events that we do not have the power to change. We just need to find the strength to keep going. Tears, sadness and the need to grieve are part of our journey. Life moves on, and that it is the hard part: acceptance of a new reality. We can take solace, however, from the beautiful memories that we created when when were are all alive and together.
Keep close to your heart all those beautiful moments, take comfort from them, and allow time to help you achieve some peace.
Fred was a caring, gentle neighbour to us. We live in a beautiful community.
Iris and Philip

I am so deeply sorry to read of Fred’s passing. I was one of a few servers who had the lucky chance of serving Fred and Linda and sometimes the whole family. Fred was also so friendly and so kind to me and we had a lot of lovely conversations in and out of the restaurant. I will miss seeing him out for his walk and I will always miss that wonderful smile.
Til we meet again Fred,
Susi
