Obituary of Bob Thomson

(Longtime Arnprior Mailman)

While surrounded by loved ones, Bob passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening, December 7^th, 2024;

Robert Wallace Thomson of Arnprior was 83 years of age.

Beloved husband for over 56 years of Corrine (nee Clouthier).

Much loved and proud Dad of Stephanie Cameron (Rob) and Scott Thomson (Kim Roper).

Cherished Poppa of 4 grandchildren: Morgan Cameron (Brandon McGrath), Hudson Cameron (Madison Tremblay), Jack Thomson and Sara Thomson

as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Walker, Oaklynn and Ozzy.

Dear brother of Bill Thomson (Joan).

Lovingly remembered by the Clouthier family, his many nieces and nephews as well as the countless people who had the honour to have Bob as a friend. 

Son of the late Edger and Merle (nee Paré) Thomson.

Bob was always drawn to the water. He started off with the Navy and then he spent many hours on the Ottawa River either fishing or at his camp.

And when his boating days were done, he would be enjoyed sitting in his truck with his buddies at Red Pine Bay drinking coffee and watching everyone coming and going.

He will be missed.

Final arrangements for Bob have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.

Friends may pay their respects during visitation on Thursday evening, December 12th  from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday morning, December 13th from 10 to 10:30.

A Service to honour and remember Bob will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o’clock.

A reception will follow.

Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior at a later date.

Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior are requested to meet at the funeral home on Thursday evening for a Tribute Service at 6:30.
